Memories from Virgil Milner:
When Dad was 12 years old he had to start working full time to support his family. When he was 14 years old his youngest sister Mary was born and shortly after that his mother who was also named Mary died. Shortly after that his father Franklin R Milner remarried a women who was known as Mollie but her given name was Mary Mattingley. Abe supported his siblings financially and they all looked up to him. He helped every one of them throughout their lives. Because he was forced to work at such a young age he was the only one of his siblings who did not finish grade school.
